Kudos to the Polillo Carmelians. They took seriously the sentiment they expressed at a dinner meeting with me in February 2020. They decided to help Sr. Gloria de la Cruz, SPC, principal of Mt. Carmel School Of Polillo, increase the enrollment for SY 2020-2021. With an initial deposit of 26,850 pesos ($548) collected at the February meeting, they created the MCSP Scholarship Fund. 

Since then they have added 283,073 pesos ($5777) in donations from Batch 1966 to Batch 2006. This is incredible! The ravages of COVID-19 and uncertainties it brought about did not deter them from making the sacrifice for their alma mater. <\/em>Adding 36,780 pesos ($750) from Metro Infanta Foundation makes their total collection 346,703 pesos ($7,075). Their 420,000 pesos ($8,571) goal is definitely within reach with only 73,297 pesos ($1496) needed. I\u2019m sure the pending contributions from the remaining batches should help meet the goal and help increase the enrollment of their beloved school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
