Romy\u2019s attention to details, his careful audit, and timely filing of the MIF tax returns have resulted in the Foundation earning top ratings from Charity Navigator and Candid 100% and Silver. Thank you,  Romy, for keep us honest since inception in 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turning 81 on December 15, 2023, Romy informed the Board of Directors that he won\u2019t renew his CPA license. Responding,  however, to an email Francis Lucas, Chairman of the Board, sent to thank him for his service for 27 years, Romy indicated, \u201cI\u2019ll see if I can do one more year.\u201d I\u2019m sure the board would agree that his staying another year would be great news.<br><br>Romy was born on December 15, 1942, in Barangay Bacong, in Infanta. Romy\u2019s family moved to Poblacion 38, however, in Infanta in 1948. He attended Infanta Central Elementary School (Batch 1955). Romy spent his high school years at the Pacific Katipunan Institute (Batch 1959). He graduated from the University of the East (Manila) BBA and passed the CPA exams in 1963. He worked for JC &amp; CO\/Price Waterhouse until he migrated to New York in 1968. He completed courses at Pace University (New York) to meet educational qualifications and passed NY CPA exams in 1976.<br> <br>In addition to serving as auditor for Metro Infanta Foundation even after retiring, Romy still does limited accounting and tax work for selected clients including UERM Memorial Medical Alumni Foundation, MCU Medical Alumni Foundations, and Royal Pontifical (UST) Medical Alumni Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>He is married to Juliet Bartolome, a Registered Nurse. On this fact,  Fr. Francis commented while presenting a Plaque of Appreciation for Romy\u2019s long-time volunteer service to the Foundation. \u201cIt is rare,\u201d said Fr. Francis, \u201cto have a husband and wife, ROMEO AND JULIET.\u201d They have two children: Oliver, now 53,  is a senior VP at a major US Bank and Jennifer, 52, a self-employed fashion industry entrepreneur.  <br><br>Thanks a million, Romy for your dedication and unwavering service to Metro Infanta Foundation and other organizations.
