With more than $6,000 collected and a $6,000 matching gift, Metro Infanta Foundation is read to provide some disaster relief to those heavily affected by the multiple typhoons that hit the Philippines, especially those generally served by the Foundation. We have identified the following to receive a small grant. Special thanks to Fr. Nonong Pili and the St. Joseph Formation House, Edna Francisco, treasurer of Socio Pastoral Institute, and Lalaine Raynera, finance staff of the Prelature of Infanta, for coordinating and facilitating the distribution of these grants.
Archdiocese of Caceres suffered much damages from Typhoon Goni/Rol. Archbishop Rolando Tria Tirona, OCD, to use funds at his discretion in his diocese.
Prelature of Infanta: With multiple typhoons hitting the Prelature, many of its parishes and their parishioners need much help. Metro Infanta Foundation identified the following parishes. - Burdeos, St. Raphael the Archangel: Marine plywood to repair bancas (boats) used for fishing
- Casiguran: St. Anthony of Padua: Materials to repair housing of indigenous people
- General Nakar, Sts. Anne & Joachim: Relief goods and food for distribution
- Jomalig, Nuestra Senora de la Salvacion: Relief goods and food, especially rice
- Panukulan, St. John the Baptist: Roofing repair
- Patnanungan, St. Isidore: Still assessing needs
- Polillo, Shrine of St. Joseph: Masks and galvanized iron sheets for partial repairs of houses of students and faculty.
- 92.7 SPIRIT FM INFANTA: Replace old generator
