Fund campaign counterpart in Infanta being formed

By Mila Glodava

The Metro Infanta Foundation is proceeding in earnest with our Gabaldon Building Project to be completed in time for the school year 2011-2012. To this end we have asked a number of MIF board members and Infanta residents to form a Building Committee to oversee the project through completion. In addition, a Fund Campaign Committee in Infanta is also being formed from the private sector..

The following have been proposed to serve on the Gabaldon Building Committee:
1) Engr. Dading Arizala
2) Engr. Alex P. Coronacion
3) Engr. Melecia Garcia
3) Arch. Edwin Nolledo
4) Arch. Eclipse Tena
5) MIF Chairman Pol Derilo
6) Bishop Rolando Tirona, O.C.D.,. Honorary Chair, Chaplain and Adviser

We hope that the above can meet ASAP to plan a course of action to make our dream a reality.

As you all know our Friends of Infanta in Colorado have been working hard tomeet our goal of raising $200,000 by the end of December 2010. I am happy to announce that a counterpart fund campaign form the private sector is also being formed. Mr. Severino Coronacion has suggested the following to serve on behalf of the residents of Infanta.

1) Col Elmo Sarona, Provincial PNP Director
2) Mr. Allan Borreo, VP, Planters Development Bank
3) Mr. Edmund Fortunado
4) Mr. Carlos Crisostomo, Principal, Infanta Central School
5) Mr. Severino Coronacion
6) Ms. Tesing Mortiz
7) Dr. Mario Cuento
8) Fr. Mario Establecida
9) Ms. Venmar Ruanto

This news was very well received by the leaders of Friends of Infanta. It's showing that the people of Infanta are taking ownership of this project, and not just waiting for dole outs from afar. Now, we only need to hear from the expatriates in the United States, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Australia and others. to date we've only heard from those in the Middle East. Let's hope that the others will follow their lead.
