Positive response appreciated

Dear Kabayang Tony:

It is heartening and encouraging to know that the call for voluntary donation and support toward the reconstruction of the Gabadlon type of school house in our beloved hometown of Infanta, Quezon, did not fall on unresponsive ears and hearts but is receiving positive and generous responses from "Infantahins", among them your goodself and Freddy Cuento in distant Middle East - the place of work of many of our townmates.

Your initial donation of US$500.00 and volunteering as contact person in your work area to the Gabaldon school house project will serve as exemplary conduct in the attainment of a great dream - that the elementary school building which through its portals passed many youth of Infanta in seek of higher education and become useful citizens, be restored.

Because of your generous gesture, your sacrifices and struggle to have better education and become a successful professional have not been in vain. Your beloved parents must be smiling from above with happiness and contentment. You are a son who has not forgotten his roots and humble origin. In Tagalog: "Marunong kang lumingon sa pinanggalingan; kaya nakasasapit sa paruruonan."

Thank you again for remembering those who in one way or another have helped and inspired you to attain your dreams despite of poverty. Thank you for remembering Infanta and for your valuable assistance in the Gabaldon Restoration Project. Your exemplary act is worthy of emulation.

Mabuhay ka, and best wishes.

Sincerely,
Rudy
