Emergency relief fund now at $2,000
By Mila Glodava
St. Thomas More Parish in Centennial, Colorado, added $1,000 to our emergency relief fund, making our total collection reach the $2,000 mark. As we said earlier we have received nearly $1,000 towards this fund which would assist in some ways the victims of typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng. I hope more Infantahins will follow the example of St. Thomas More parishioners in reaching out to our people suffering from the devastations of this recent calamity.
Please consider helping as a way to say thank you to those who help our town during our time of need. As they say, it's time to "pay it forward" to those in need. Every penny when combined with others can make a dollar. If you remember, Metro Infanta Foundation collected and donated approximately $50,000 when our town was in the same position as Manila and other provinces are experiencing right now. Now it's our time to help. So, it would be nice to see more Infantahins on this list.
Thank you to the following who have sent their donations totaling $2,000:
Dolly Banzon
Pol and Sally Derilo
Melecia Garcia

As soon as we have a significant amount we will forward it to the Discalced Carmelite Friars at Mt. Carmel Shrine in Quezon City. Carmelite Father Arnie Boehme informed us that the Shrine has become an emergency relief center for people displaced by the floods and continuing threats of typhoons. "We are serving at least 750 people at the center, serving them three meals a day."
If you are in a position to help, please do so. Any amount when pulled together can mean a lot for our suffering people. Please remember what Jesus said, "Whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you did it for me." Let us not be judged for our indifference.
Please send your donation to: Metro Infanta Foundation
