Update on Kevin
Now that my one and only son is in harms way in the war zone in Iraq, I have a personal stake and interest in what's happening out there. I can definitely can relate to all moms and dads, spouses and children of those serving our country to keep our world safe. So, everytime I hear some news coming from Iraq, even from Afghanistan, my heart jumps, especially when it's about someone or a group of soldiers have been killed. I continue to pray for all soldiers and I ask that you do the same.
Meanwhile, Kevin sent me an update that I would like to share with all of you. He and his team had a meeting with Major General Nash (2 star) the other day for an awards ceremony for a few people including Kevin. It seems Kevin and his team had recent mission that involved the dismantling and movement of 8 live rockets pointed at Coalition Forces. Thank God no one was hurt! And to think of the lives their action has saved.
Kevin also told us that he has been very busy, but can't really tell us what else he has than that been doing there. He is, of course, looking forward to coming home, God permitting, in about two months. This means he will miss the birth of his first son, who is due in two or three weeks.
