Death of Mr. Ernesto C. Leodones (Feb.21,1918 - Mar.17,2009)

This is to inform relatives,friends,fellow World War II veterans, townmates both in Infanta, Quezon, and Penaranda, Nueva Ecija, the death of Ernesto C. Leodones. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rufina Claustro Leodones and six children, namely: Tessie Leodones Pagalilauan, a teacher whio is married to Dr. Oscar Pagalilauan, Mario C. Leodones, a mechanical engineer who is married to Norma Garduque, registered nurse; Rolando C. Leodones, a commerce graduate who is married to Marietta Dinglasan; Leony C. Leodones, a registered nurse who is married to Benjamin Rodriquez; Elena C. Leodones, a registered nurse who is married to Boboy Capili; and Dr. Florencio C. Leodones, a dentist. He is also survived by the following grand children: Jane, Dennis, Clarinda, Ariston, Cristina, Don, Dimple, JR Christina, Kristen and Thalia.

Mr. Leodones was comissioned as a second lieutenant in the Philippine Army in 1944 and also a USAFFE Guerilla under Col. Anderson's batallion Company "A". He was also a survivor of the famous "Bataan Death March" in Capas, Tarlac. He served as a chief of police in Penaranda, Nueva Ecija, under Mayor Amando Santos. He returned to civilian life by returning to Infanta with his wife Rufina and raised their six children by engaging in the dry good store business.
