Please pray for Vince Runco, a prelature supporter

From Delcie Runco
Editor's Note: Vince and Delcie Runco are the coordinators of the Holy Cross-Baler and San Luis sister parishes. Both have been in the Philippines visiting the missions. Holy Cross Parish in Thoronton, Colorado, has sent to the Baler and San Luis parishes more than 50 care boxes of clothing, toy, food and other items. The parish's scholarship fund also send many poor students to school. Please pray for Vince and his family.

I am writing to ask for your prayers. Vince and I are in Steamboat Springs. We came up to meet with Vince's Jr. Hi and High School buddy from Texas and to go fishing together.

We were fishing at different spots on a stream on Thursday?when Vince stepped into a hole that was hidden by the tall grass. His fishing boots filled with water and he fell into the river. He was in the cold water for forty five minutes with just barely his mouth and nose above the water. When he realized that we were not going to be able to hear his cries for help he did what he had to do to get out which tore up both of his knees. He is in the hospital in Steamboat Springs. They are talking about releasing him on Monday to go to a rehab center in Denver.

He is having flashbacks so they are giving him something to calm him down. He has braces on both legs that are so ackward and heavy it takes three of them to get him into a wheel chair. I am praying that God will give me the strength to manage him. Our family will build a ramp on our front door by the time he gets to go home because the doctor said that he can't handle even one step.
