Scholar says "Thank you"

Editor's note: Scholars are beginning to send thank you notes to their sponsors. Here's one of them:

Dear Kuya Kevin,

Hello po! What’s up? First of all I personally would like to thank you for the continuous support you’ve been giving me for my education. It’s been a great pleasure to have a “Kuya” like you who unselfishly helps those who have a big desire to finish their studies like me. I am now on my fourth year this 2nd semester, only a few steps away to my graduation and I would not make it here if it weren’t because of you. I always pray and thank God for giving me this opportunity, a chance to have a better future, a chance to enhance my skills, a chance to help others, and to have a treasure to keep that is irreplaceable -- education. I thank Him for giving me people like you guys who always think how to help others and give help to them whatever you can give them and I promise my self that it will serve as an inspiration to me not only to have a better future and a successful lifestyle but also a chance to help others who have the same situation as me.

Now I actively participate in community services here at school as what Ninang Mila told me to do. It is very inspiring to help others seeing their faces smile for the help we are giving them. It is good to be remembered by this people we have helped not because of being popular for what I have achieved but because of what I have shown them, being a good leader to them and showing them the right thing to do. Helping them with all the best I can and being a good role model to them. Ninang Mila inspired me to do these things, and I will make sure that her teaching and all that she has shown me will be passed through out the years.

I just hope you and your family are always in good condition and I pray that you will continue helping others who wanted to achieve their dreams. And I will share those things that you have given me to others too.

Thank you so much and more power to you and to your family! God bless you!

Sincerely yours,
Rodel Girard G. Formaran
